A place that feels like home

Less than an hour from Seattle you will find this absolute paradise! This is a beautiful cabin property that sits adjacent to the South fork of the Stillaguamish River and at the base of Mt. Pilchuck. This luxury studio cabin can host up to 2 people and with a very comfortable queen bed. It is remodeled with all the comforts of home. There are many popular hikes nearby, including Lake Twenty-Two, Heather Lake, Gothic Basin, Monte Cristo, and Mt. Pilchuck all within a short drive or hike. The space With a river and forest view you have a covered firepit with an adjacent gas BBQ, a brand new hot tub ready to go, a covered porch, and a fully fenced and secure yard for your fur baby and privacy. We include firewood and firestarter. There are outside string lights that light your way around the property all the way to the river, and river access at the back door, drop in or out spot for kayaking or tubing, Robe Canyon down the river, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing and boarding, and cross-country skiing, This is a winter and summer playground. Stargazing off the Rusty Bridge on a clear night. There is excellent fishing and gold panning right out your door. Perfect spot for tube floats, and there is Lake Twenty-Two, Heather Lake and Mt. Pilchuck all within a short drive or hike. The old community of Verlot has a small general store with basic provisions, a wine and beer selection, and there is also a little known tavern in the back that has a local vibe, and you will find it very welcoming. The ranger station (check hours online), and a close walk from the cabin has a wealth of knowledge for new hikers to the area. Please don't walk on the Mountain Loop Hwy, there is a trail that is much safer and pleasurable. Granite Falls is only 20 minutes down the road for bigger needs. We do try to provide the essentials for cooking. You should plan on bringing everything you need for your stay. There is a firewood shed that is stocked and ready for your fireside chats, and please be kind to the amount you utilize.

Take note that this is a rural property that has satellite internet with slower than you're used to speeds. We have a smart TV and DVD player with a few dozen movies. It is best to download your favorite shows, movies, and music to your mobile devices prior to your arrival. We also utilize the same satellite system for our landline phone (which is shared between cabins) and for you to connect your cell phone for Wi-Fi calling and texting. There are occasional power and satellite disruptions from inclement weather. The nearest payphone is the Verlot store 2 miles away. We will do our best to help restore services should you experience any outages. **This is a dog-friendly property for one smaller dog. There is a $50 non-refundable pup fee. When booking your dog, please add your dog to the guest list. If booked through Airbnb, the fee will have to be added as a modification to your reservation, as Airbnb doesn't automatically add the fee. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Please bring your pup's bed or kennel for their comfort. We provide pup treats, pup waste bags, post-swim towels, and 2 dog bowls for your use.** There may and will be other guests on the property during your stay. That can include their pets and small children. Please be courteous of each other's privacy. quiet time, and safety while you enjoy your stay. There are other cabins nearby, and a close one just adjacent to this one. There is a shared trail to the beach, and the beach is public. Also, access to trails at Verlot campground and Heather Creek is just a short walk. Great spot for tubing and swimming :) Other things to note The queen bed has a 3" memory foam topper that can be removed at your request if you prefer a firmer mattress.
